About the work

Ask your Agent about the workGet prompt

Copy this prompt into your chat to explore the work with your Agent.

Signatures Gallery turns an X handle into a handwriting-like mark. A public identifier becomes a drawn signature.

The mark resembles a gesture, but no hand signs it. The handle supplies its structure; an interpretation supplies the conditions in which that structure appears. It is a portrait of a public name, not a reproduction of someone’s handwriting.

Minting coming soon. Previews are always available without a wallet. Allowlisted free slots are available during the free phase. Paid minting follows Pulse pricing afterward.

Agent Art

Inshell’s account of Agent Art ↗ places the question at the level of intention: what does an Agent interpret or choose, and how does that enter a work? Using AI, invoking a model, or automating a procedure does not by itself answer it. This is an artistic framing, not a technical certificate or a claim of machine consciousness.

In Signatures Gallery, the question is concentrated into one choice: which of sixteen interpretations will become the lasting mark for a handle? The work gives that choice a visible consequence within a structure the artist has already composed.

Artist, Agent and minter

The artist defines the drawing system and the relation between its inputs and its forms. The rules make the work possible; they do not select a person’s MBTI.

Grok interprets public X communication and chooses an MBTI input within the artist’s system. The choice affects the mark’s form; Grok does not draw its strokes or rewrite the renderer. This is a bounded interpretive role, not an unrestricted autonomous artist.

The minter chooses whose handle enters the work and authorizes the wallet transaction. Minting for a handle does not require control of its X account; wallet eligibility, handle availability and the current mint phase still apply. The minter chooses the subject, not the final MBTI.

From handle to mark

Letters, capitalization, digits and underscores shape the drawing through a deterministic system. The same handle and MBTI, interpreted by the same renderer, produce the same image. Its apparent gesture comes from rules, not a randomly generated imitation of handwriting.

The four MBTI pairs change different parts of the visual language: E/I reverses the light and dark palette; S/N changes curvature and smoothing; T/F changes how the filled stroke’s outline is constructed; J/P changes spacing and vertical variation. These are artistic correspondences, not claims about how a personality ought to look.

Explore

Ask Grok on X or Grok.com to resolve a handle’s current username spelling, interpret its MBTI, and share a preview link. A preview combines the handle and the MBTI in its URL. You can change either to play with the result. Preview pages keep the capitalization in the URL without looking up X. Preview pages do not call our assessment service or authorize a mint.

The MBTI is an artistic input, not a diagnosis or a fact about the person behind an account.

Preview with Grok

Give this prompt to Grok on X or Grok.com. It asks for a handle, interprets its MBTI, and returns a preview link.

Previews are for exploration. Minting uses the backend’s own assessment, not this preview.

Mint & reveal

When minting is open and your wallet is eligible, connect it, enter a handle, and choose Mint & reveal. On the first successful preparation, our backend independently verifies the current X username spelling and asks Grok to research public X posts and choose the MBTI. Later attempts reuse the accepted record rather than asking for a preferred result. It does not accept the preview’s MBTI. The final signature may differ from your preview.

The inputs are prepared before the wallet transaction. The signature is generated from the contract and revealed after verified inclusion, with a Confirming label while confirmation completes. It appears in the gallery at the same time, then becomes Minted after the required confirmations are verified. This is a reveal experience, not cryptographic secrecy.

Each allowlist slot permits one free token. Free minting ends when its successful-mint quota is reached or its deadline arrives, whichever comes first. Paid mints then follow Pulse pricing and require your explicit spending ceiling; unused payment is refunded. You pay network gas in either phase.

How the result is kept

The verified spelling and first accepted assessment are preserved at preparation. Minting stores the handle and MBTI as immutable inputs. The on-chain renderer generates the SVG and metadata when they are read; the finished image is not uploaded to IPFS or stored in the mint transaction. The spelling is not checked again at transaction confirmation. Cancelling or expiring a request does not trigger another assessment. An unresolved transaction or reservation requires operator review before another attempt.

Identity and ownership

Within this collection, there is one minted token per handle, regardless of letter case. Identity follows the handle, not the X account ID. A renamed handle is a different identity; changing capitalization alone does not create another token. The recorded spelling is an artwork input, not a live profile that follows every account change.

A token can move between wallets without changing that input. Holding one does not prove ownership or control of the X account, imply the account holder’s endorsement, or make the mark their legal signature. Minting leaves a permanent public record.

Artwork and provenance

Minting stores the handle and MBTI as immutable inputs and binds them to a fixed on-chain renderer. The contract generates metadata with an embedded SVG when read. The artwork can be reconstructed from those inputs and the renderer without an uploaded image or an IPFS file. The website and its relay are viewing surfaces, not the source of that canonical image.

Each revealed work separates Assessment, Artwork and Mint in its Provenance. Where recorded, it shows the assessor, model, time, research links, renderer and mint transaction. Missing information remains missing. Research links can change or disappear; a token or a successful transaction does not make an interpretation psychologically true.

The assessment record is the site’s record, not a cryptographic signature from Grok. It records the accepted choice and available sources, not a complete private conversation or proof of the Agent’s inner intention. Public preservation makes the work inspectable; it does not settle its authorship or artistic meaning.

Context and further reading

The work sits between an artist-defined generative procedure and an Agent’s interpretation. Inshell’s essays on generative art ↗ and artistic lineage ↗ offer context for the relationship between a work’s rules and its realization.

Agent-Art-Lab’s guidance ↗ distinguishes technical completion, artistic interpretation and evidence of participation. Its methods are provisional, not a certification of this work. The references are perspectives for reading the work, not claims of affiliation or endorsement.
